Featuring Ray Gorrell and his orchestra, the new Terrace Ballroom, owned and operated by Herbert L. Paul, will be formally opened this evening.
Mr. Paul has spent many weeks in preparation for the big opening of this amusement center which is beautifully decorated. The windows are draped with French blue satin above which is Royal blue pleated percale trimmed with four inch gold binding. The ceiling is of yellow percale and columns are mirrored. Controlled indirect lighting is designed to create an atmosphere of softness and to intensify the mood of the music.
The stage has pleated gold satin background and ceiling. Walls on two sides are draped with French blue percale with natural color paneling around the floor level.
The dance floor is the latest and most modern type available being of green and maroon marbleized tile waxed to a mirror finish to assure perfect dancing at all times.
Through the agency of Lehrndge and Gorrell, Mr. Paul has been assured of having many bands.
