Attempt at Highway Robbery.-- A man named Upjohn, was stopped by two men, near Cincinnati, as he was approaching that city, a few days since, with his market wagon. One of them seized him by the throat and fired a pistol at his head, the ball of which lacerated the skin of his forehead, but unfortunately glanced off. Mr. Upjohn, being a stout and courageous man, shook the villain off, and he and his comrade retreated without having attained their object. This outrage took place in day light in sight of a house, and there was another wagon on the road but a short distance behind. The robbers were pursued and apprehended the next day, and being identified by Mr. Upjohn were fully committed for trial.
