The student body of the Weber academy held its annual election yesterday afternoon and Harvey Taylor was chosen president. The other officers elected were as follows: Jennie Barlow, vice president; Leland Evans, secretary treasurer; Harold Browning, standard bearer; David Ferrell, sergeant at arms; Spencer Collins, yellmaster and Myron McIntyre, athletic manager.
The retiring officers in their order are: Lorenzo Richards, Cora Kasius, Victor Critchlow - Myron McIntyre, re-elected - Ronald Jensen, Irvin Felt and John Bowen.
The place where the annual field day will be held was also voted upon at the meeting and Malan's Heights was chosen, against Ogden Canyon, Lagoon, Glenwood Park and Wander mere. This selection will preclude the usual program of athletic events and the outing will consist of a picnic and general good time. The field day will occur on Thursday May 21, and the Junior "Prom" will take place on the following night.
The commencement week program will begin on Sunday, May 24, with the baccalaureate sermon in the tabernacle. On the Monday night following, the Senior play will be given. On Tuesday evening, the graduation program will be held and 48 graduates will be given diplomas. On Wednesday, the Alumni re-union will take place.
