Full Text

The delay of France to pay her debt to the United States is causing considerable comment. It is conceded by those who ought to know, that France is able to pay, but the people of that country are being misled and made to believe the opposite. George Fisch, a distinguished British economist, says that the French nation is being deluded by its leaders and that a true statement of the financial condition is due to the people of that country. Such a statement would show that France is able to pay her indebtedness.
