The Strike of the Carnegie Employes at Homestead, Pa., Settled Peaceably.
PITTSBURG, Pa., July 15.—The strike at the Homestead steel plant of Carnegie, Phipps & Co. was definitely settled Sunday evening and work will be resumed just as soon as the furnaces are heated. The conference begun so favorably Saturday was continued Sunday and at 8 o'clock p. m. an amicable settlement was effected. The terms of the settlement are not positively known, but it is understood that concessions were made on both sides.
