the sawdust images, and the minute she catches the attendant's eye, exclaiming, "I want that doll-baby." Ah, well, that all of us were so modest in our desires! And the poor children--willy-nilly-- they are dragged about with an idea of earning just what will please them most. One philosophical youngster in the mechanical toy department came afoul of a wolf. The attendant, at a word from his mother, explained it was a wolf, who wagged his head for fifteen dollars. "Wags his head for fifteen dollars!" soliloquized the youth in a who-wouldn't-have-him tone, and with no thought of reproach, nor even a spark of pity for poor little Red Riding Hood.
