DETROIT (ANP)—Rev. C. L. Franklin, popular pastor of the New Bethel Baptist Church, has purchased the old Oriole theatre, the former Detroit spiritual home of the late Bishop C. M. (Daddy) Grace's Universal Church of Our Prayer, it was announced last week.
The reported sale price was "somewhere around $100,000."

Sale of the building which was once the property of another colorful man of the cloth, the Rev. James F. (Prophet) Jones and his Church of the Universal Triumph and the Dominion of God, was handled by James Del Rio of Associated Brokers. Atty. Kenneth Hylton represented the Rev. Franklin in the transaction. D.C. law firm of Frank Reeves, represented Bishop Walter McCullough, Daddy Grace's successor.
