By the Portuguese brig Cidad de Lisboa, arrived at Boston, on Tuesday last, Lisbon dates to the 8th of August have been received. The Lisbon accounts furnish the particulars of a severe & decisive battle fought on the 30th of July betwixt the allied forces under Lord Wellington and the French army under Marshall Soult, at Ostis, near Pampaluna, which commenced in the morning and lasted till late in the evening, when the latter retreated with the loss of 2000 men made prisoners, and a greater number killed and wounded. The French also lost their baggage and artillery. An American gentleman in London, under date of August 7th, writes "The Russian Mediation will not be accepted".
