Newbern, August 3.

Captain Kinns, who arrived here from St. Augustine via Philadelphia, has furnished the following information.

A privateer was fitted out from Augustine, owned and manned, principally by Americans-their names follow-The privateer's name is- commanded by Capt. Hooper, of Baltimore, Mr. Martin, first lieutenant of ditto, Mr. Robertson, second lieut. of ditto. Owned by Mr. Lee of Virginia, captain Moody, prize master, Ezra Read of Connecticut, Samuel Bates, of ditto, Mr. Hall, of ditto, Mr. Guyer. of Baltimore, Mr. Boyer, of ditto, Ives White, of Connecticut--these are the only persons, whose names captain Kinns could ascertain.
