Preston Ward, George W. Cripps, president of the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce, as well as General Foods and Jell-O Division officials.
General Foods representatives will arrive at the MATS Air Base and will be met by Base Commander Col. Whiteford C. Mauldin, who will accompany them to the ground-breaking site.
The traditional "Silver plated" shovel, which will be used to turn the first spadeful of earth, was donated for the occasion by Mr. "Scud" Berglund, owner of the Dover Hardware Company. Mr. Berglund has displayed the shovel in his store window since General Foods announced that it had obtained an option to purchase 100 acres of the Eden Hill Farm property.
