ALBANY, JULY 9.

THE ALBANY ALMS HOUSE.

It gives us great pleasure to state, and it must give equal pleasure to our readers to learn, that, under the direction of Mr. Hewson, the superintendant, there is now on the farm belonging to this establishment, 30 bushels of Winter Rye, 14 do. Winter Wheat, 6 do. Summer do. 20 do. Oats, 2 do. Barley, 5 do. Pease, 1 do. Beans, 1 do. Flax, 65 rod. Potatoes, 3 acres of Indian Corn and 200 Cabbages. Exclusive of an extensive and excellent kitchen and herb garden. That the farm and garden are in a high state of cultivation, and that the crops promise a very abundant harvest. The whole of the labor we believe has been performed by the paupers, with the exception of a single hired man.
