Friday last being the Anniversary of his Majesty's Birth Day, when he enter'd the 76th Year of his Age; the same was observ'd here by the usual Display of the Colours of the Forts, and Shipping, &c. a Discharge of Cannon of Castle-William, and the several Batteries of this Town and Charlestown, &c. In the Evening the Province House, Court House and several other Houses were beautifully illuminated, and many Fire works played off. The Council and a Number of other Gentlemen, civil and military, met together at the Council Chamber, and drank the usual Healths with the greatest Demonstrations of Loyalty and Joy.
