Service Men Show Little Interest In Primaries

Only 43 of the many Montgomery Countians serving in the nation's armed forces will vote in the primary elections on September 8. It was revealed by the office of election supervisors here this week. Although all service men were eligible to participate in the primaries under the terms of the absentee voting law, the vast majority failed to request mail ballots before the deadline to midnight Monday. Forty Democrats and three Republicans applied for ballots.
