Full Text

After only a short time of inactivity drilling has been resumed on the farm of Dr. O. C. Cook near town. A larger drill has been secured and preparations have been made for going to a depth of 1000 feet if oil is not found before. The new drill arrived in Marion Friday afternoon and was unloaded and taken to the field Saturday.

Indications are better now than ever before that oil will be struck and striking seems to be only a matter of going deep enough. The promoters are now prepared to do this and if oil is under Crittenden county hills they are determined to reach it. The new drilling outfit is under the direction of the same capable manager that was here with the other drill, Mr. John Butt.
