DEAF AND BLIND ARE TO GROW THEIR POTATOES

A half acre plot of ground was plowed and otherwise made ready this morning at the Utah State institution for the Deaf and Blind, for the planting of potatoes. The work of planting is to be done by a number of boys from each of the classes, who will be dressed in farm garb for the purpose. Each class group was busy today removing the eyes from a half bushel of potatoes. Each group, under the supervision of one of the instructors of the school, will take care of four or five rows of the potato plants until the close of the school year, and next fall will return and participate in the harvest. The ground utilized for the prospective potato patch is located on Monroe avenue, southwest of primary hall, the new building at the state institution.
