On the 3d inst. the General Assembly proceeded to ballot for members of the Board of Public Works, and the following gentlemen were elected:

For the District west of the Alleghany mountain.—Peter Scales of Cabell, John McCoy of Tyler, and Andrew Russell of Washington.

For the District between the Alleghany and the Blue Ridge—Robert White of Rockbridge, and Jerome L. Opie of Jefferson.

For the District between the Blue Ridge and the head of tide-water—Joseph Watkins of Goochland, Samuel Pannill of Campbell, and John Gibson of Prince William.

For the District below the head of tide water.—Philip Aylett of King William, and William Parham.
