BIG SUCCESS
The Mohave County Miner, one of the leading newspapers of northern Arizona carried the following account of the Rodeo held at Kingman last week, which was advertised extensively in the Age:
The Kingman rodeo officially closed on Monday night, September 3rd and brought to an end the biggest celebration of its kind ever witnessed in Mohave County. A celebration that cost including prizes approximately $3,000, brought hundreds of visitors into Kingman and excited more interest in the county than anything of its nature has ever before done.
The grandstand at the field was filled to overflowing and cars were parked around the field in some cases two deep. The gate receipts for the four day period averaged over $200 per day. It has been estimated that practically every town in the southwest was represented at the rodeo field on Sunday, which proved to be the biggest of the four days. The entrants included the best talent in the West and represented every section of the country where the cattle business is established.
