S. S. DUCHESS OF YORK, Oct. 26 (P)—Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald of Great Britain, his American mission completed, today began to study the results of his tour while this vessel steamed through the calm waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. He also turned his attention toward the problems facing the labor government on his arrival in Great Britain.
His first appearance in the house of commons is expected on Monday week. He will outline at least briefly his negotiations with President Hoover and then will be comparatively free to plunge into preparations for the January 5 power naval conference, which is the outcome of the agreement reached with the United States.
Today was devoted largely to work.
After an early morning tramp on the decks, the premier disappeared with his secretaries until lunch.
Soon after the meal was ended, he returned to work.
The prime minister is quickly recovering from the strain of his tour and appears in unusual good health.
