Full Text

Wild goose hunting is now the order of the day among our sportsmen. John C. Rudolph, cashier of the Citizens' National Bank, was one of a party of four that went over into Sibley county last Saturday evening. He says being routed out at 2:30 o'clock in the morning for the purpose traveling four miles against a piercing north wind before daylight to be taken for a horse thief, and then lying in a haystack for four hours on a frosty morning for the sole pleasure of seeing some other fellow pick off the geese when they come along at the end of time, is hardly the kind of pastime for a pious, non-swearing man to indulge in.
