NEW LONDON, April 16.

Extract from the Journal of a Voyage of the Sloop Three Sisters, of Bermuda, Jeremiah Poulton, Master, dated Turk's Island, March 12, 1762.

Sailed from Christo December 4, 1761, bound for Philadelphia, and on the 16th arrived in Lat. 37: 44: and then having very hard Gales of Wind was obliged to quit the Coast, and then strove some Time for South Carolina, but meeting with excessive hard Gales was obliged to quit that Coast after meeting with many bad Accidents, and made for Bermuda, and till most of this Time had excessive bad Weather which drove us upwards of 600 Miles to the Eastward of the Island of Bermuda, and then the Wind still continuing to blow hard from the 11th of January to the 9th of February 1762 in the Lat. of Bermuda the People very Sickly and Weak, being then 40 Days on short Allowance for Victuals and Water and no hopes of getting to the Island aforesaid, made for the West Indies, that is the Port we sailed from, and on the 9th of March arrived at this Island, almost perished for Want, and no relief from any Vessel, having been out 94 Days, and on short Allowance 55 Days.
