PETERSBURG. (Virginia), July 31.

Information having been communicated to the Executive of Georgia, that the Creek Indians were much disposed to enter into a permanent treaty of friendship and alliance with the United States, a conference was held by the Governor of that state, on the 13th ultimo, with the honourable Richard Wynn, Superintendant of Indian affairs, for the Southern department on the subject of appointing a time and place for holding the said treaty should be held on Monday the 15th day of September next, at Mr. Larkin Cleveland's, on Tugalo river, in the county of Franklin. This communication we hope, will bring about a friendly intercourse with our neighbors to the Westward, who have lately been very troublesome in that quarter.
