Full Text

From the Brussels Gazette.

Advices are received, that the Prussian army has taken possession of the fortress of Rodemacherin near the Moselle, between Thionville and Luxemburg, in Lorraine. All the garrison, and that part of the garrison was put to the sword. It is also asserted, that the French and Prussians have very bloody skirmishes almost every day. The latter have directed a body of their troops to advance opposite to Chimay, from whence they seem to threaten that part of our frontiers with frequent incursions. -- To counteract these designs, strong detachments of infantry and cavalry have been detached from the camp at Mons, principally chasseurs and Hulans, to protect our territory in that quarter.
