Full Text

A letter from Paris, dated August 6, says that the court of France has certainly some design of importance in view, notwithstanding the privacy which is industriously observed concerning it. The extraordinary preparations now making towards Italy confirm the opinion that his Majesty intends setting up a claim to some of his Sardinian Majesty's dominions. The armament at Toulon, which continues fitted out, and ready to put to sea at the shortest notice, is to act in the Mediterranean, as it is thought, in support of the aforementioned design.
