Two Westside residents who were charged with lottery last November were cleared Tuesday following trials in Fulton Criminal Court.
Mrs. Helen Randolph, 43, of 1307 Mitchell Street, S. W., and Clarence Caison, 45, of 2856 Hedgewood Drive were both found not guilty of lottery charges.
Both persons were arrested November 25, 1957 at a laundry pick-up Station at 1099 Hunter Street after detectives investigated information that lottery activities took place there.
A five-man jury acquitted Mrs. Randolph after a two hour trial.
Caison was found not guilty after Judge J. Everett Thrift ruled that he had been forced to give incriminating evidence against himself
