Oct. 25. We are credibly informed from Houghton le Spring, that last Week a young Lady of great Beauty, and a Fortune of 2000 l. (who had been courted by several Gentlemen) made her Escape out of a Window in that Village, at Midnight, and run away with a Livery Servant of that Neighbourhood; but as they thought they could not safely accomplish their Intentions of Marriage in any of the adjacent Parishes, they got a Post Chaise, and rode directly to London for that Purpose, which they reached in about 50 Hours, and there married.
