Not Much Interest

DOUGLAS—With contests in the Fifth and Sixth wards only, and E. A. Hinton with a clear field in the mayoralty race, Monday's general election for city offices is expected to bring out only about two-thirds of the registration. In the Fifth ward Dr. A. M. Wilkinson, incumbent, and C. B. Fleming, non-partisan nominee, are expected to comb the ward for every available vote, while in the Sixth ward James H. Barrett, nonpartisan incumbent, and Frank Schmit, democratic nominee, will probably be equally as active. However, in the other four wards there is little likelihood that any interest will be shown, as L. I. Speer, in the First; L. B. Floyd in the Second; J. U. DeVaney in the Third and George L. Schmidt in the Fourth wards are unopposed.
