Gen. Scott.—Gen. Scott arrived in Washington city on Saturday morning last. He will remain several days, arranging matters with reference to the campaign against the Mormons during the coming spring. He will also make arrangements with the Postmaster General, by which intelligence from the army will reach there several days earlier than is now the case.

The Commander-in-Chief, says the States, is a hale, hearty, healthy looking man, and to all appearances, will be at the head of the army for many years to come.
