The New Literary Paper.
We have several times alluded to the movements which we understand is steadily progressing to establish a new and elegant literary paper in Washington. The plans, we are informed, are not yet matured, but are in a good stage of forwardness.
The Springfield (Mass.) Post, makes the following allusions to this enterprise:
"Rev. C. W. Denison, recently of Boston, is about starting a new literary paper at Washington. Mr. Denison has considerable editorial experience, and is a fine writer. In the ample field he has chosen for the development of these qualifications, we trust he will meet with liberal encouragement."
The Baltimore Argus informs us that Mr. Denison was recently editor of the Olive Branch, a popular journal of Boston, where his lady is now filling his place, but which she will leave in the spring, for the purpose of being associated with him in the conduct of the new paper here.
The Boston Bee adds:
"Mr C. W. Denison, formerly of this city, is about starting a new literary paper at Washington. Success to it."
The new paper, we learn, is to be of a pictorial character, and issued in a form suitable for binding.
The names of subscribers may be left at the office of the Star.
