SOUTHERN EPWORTH LEAGUE.
Delegates Welcomed to Georgia by Governor Candler.

ATLANTA, Ga., July 26.-Between 3,000 and 4,000 delegates are gathered here at the annual convention of the Southern Epworth League. The convention is in picturesque Exposition Park, and the auditorium was crowded last evening with visitors and home people at the opening session.
Governor Candler welcomed the delegates in behalf of the State. and the response was made by Governor-elect Sam Ford. of Alabama. who is an enthusiastic leaguer. The real work of the convention began today. and will extend through the remainder of the week. Delegates are present from every Southern State.
