Dean Involved In Court Case

TAMPA, Fla. - Patrolman J. A. Barrera testified Charles K. Clark of Lakeland, in municipal court here yesterday on charges of drunkenness and assault, got in a fight with former baseball pitching star Dizzy Dean in an argument over whether the Democrats would nominate Georgia's Sen. Russell or Harry Truman for President.

Judge Robert Johnson dismissed the assault charge against Clark and suspended a 30-day sentence on the drunkenness charge.

Dean, who supported Truman, was not charged with anything.
