Full Text

Yellow Fever in New Orleans.—It appears, from the report of interments in both burying grounds, from the 9th to the 21st inst. inclusive, that the number of deaths during that period amounts to 136. The general opinion is, that the yellow fever is now prevailing; however, not to such an extent as public rumor may represent: nevertheless, it may be prudent for those who are not acclimated, and who dread the disease, to remove for a while out of the city, and those who are absent should not return thither until the full extent of the danger be ascertained.—N. O. Cour. 22d August.
