Editors Meeting.

A meeting of Editors was held last night at the Exchange Hotel, of which Dr. S. D. Hopkins, of the Fincastle Democrat was Chairman and Mr. J. L. Cochran, of the Charlottesville Advocate, was Secretary. The originator of the proposition for an Editorial Convention was not present, and no one seemed to be aware of the source or the purposes of the recommendation. A committee, formally styled a "committee on business," was appointed to report to a subsequent meeting. An invitation was given to the Editors from abroad to meet those of the city this evening, at nine o'clock, at the Exchange, to discuss some substantial and interesting matters, then and there to be laid on the table. The invitation was gracefully accepted, and the meeting adjourned to meet at half past 8 this evening at the Exchange.—Dispatch
