GOOD TIDINGS.

HAVRE, May 16.

A cruiser from St. Malos, under the decree of the Executive Directory of 2d March last, took at sea & brought into this port, an American vessel, bound from Baltimore to Bremen, having a rich cargo, under the pretence that the shipping paper on board, was not agreeable to the decree; as to the other papers, passports, bills of lading, receipts and vouchers, all were regular, and it is evident that this vessel is American, and that its cargo is the property of a neutral nation. This case was brought before the Tribunal of Commerce, and the capture was yesterday declared false, and illegal, by a judgment which was distinguished by its wisdom and justice, and by the best commercial and diplomatic information.
