Steam-Boat Patent Rights.

We are gratified to see that Mr. Fairfax, who claimed a Steam-Boat Navigation Patent of Fitch, some thirty or forty years old, has petitioned Congress against injunction of renewal of the Patent Right to the widow of Fulton. It is not our wish that Mrs. Fulton should be deprived of the reward due to her as the representative of her late husband, for his invaluable improvements or discoveries: but we hope that by bringing this subject forward, it will serve in conjunction with the improvements in Virginia for interior improvements, and the route of the state of Ohio to bring the subject more fully before Congress. Every state is interested, and it may lead to reward the real creditor, and generate as much advantage to open to every whether the right of any individual? Mr. RICHARDSON on the old patent, and to whom the only reward ought to be due.
