The attention of the council was called to the Globe strike by a telegram addressed to President Hunt announcing the resignation of Organizer Wills and the resumption of work by the men. It was also stated that the Rangers had left the camp. New bills in the council were brought in by Hampton to promote the development of water, by granting prior rights to lands to locators; by Morgan creating supervisoral districts and a second bill providing for the making of road tax a lien on personal property and to be collected as other taxes are and a bill by Norton the intent of which is to allow the Randolph lines of Mexico to maintain general offices at Tucson, Arizona, and be purchased or leased by any Arizona corporation in this particular instance the purchasing and leasing line being the Southern Pacific company.
