Kokomo Picnic

Three UAW locals and 2000 CIO members and their families from other affiliates had a wonderful time at the Howard County CIO picnic at Melfalfa Park, Kokomo, Ind. Aug. 10, reports Pres. John Duncan of the CIO council. The UAW locals were Delco Radio 292, Chrysler 685, and Hoosier Iron Works 718. The picnic was also a CIO campaign rally for the labor board election in Delco Radio (GM). Intl. Rep. Spike Innes spoke in behalf of Pres. R. J. Thomas who was unexpectedly called to Washington.
