Revised Census Figures Give Waterbury a Population of 33,184.

New Haven, Waterbury, Meriden and Bridgeport are rejoicing over the latest census figures, which are much more satisfactory than those first given out. Bridgeport's official population is now placed at 45,940, nearly 4,000 more than the approximate estimate. New Haven is given not only 85,000, but nearly a thousand more—85,826. Waterbury is given 33,184, an increase of 916 over the original estimate, and Meriden is set down at 25,320. These are all large gains over the first estimate and will have a very important bearing on the total population of the state, which will now go over 740,000 without doubt. The population of the seven towns of over 10,000 inhabitants in the district is definitely stated as follows:

167,559 245,792 78,653
