Bus Line Re-Routing Still Being Discussed

Re-routing of the Ewalt Circle bus line's downtown turnback is scheduled for a public hearing at a city commission meeting either June 19 or June 26.

To date, the company has indicated its willingness to go along with suggestions that busses be permitted to turn back at First street rather than at Fourth street as now, but commissioners have withheld comments.

Petitions circulated among passengers served by the line have requested the change, pointing out the present turnback station is inconvenient for shoppers and those transferring to other lines.
