It is impossible to stop the organization and expansion of trade unions. American working men and women are the most efficient and American trade unions rank highest among the most skilled and productive workers throughout the world.

They have through years of tedious progress fought for and established what is commonly termed an "American standard of living."

That standard cannot be lowered without dislocating our economic and industrial machinery.

Our leadership among nations of the world must depend not on low wages, but upon skilled, trained, fine-spirited, willing. high-paid workers.

Our land is a "high-wage land."
