Fifth In Series Of Lenten Sermons To Be Held Sunday

The fifth service in the series of Lenten services sponsored by the Protestant churches of Putnam will be held on Sunday evening in the Methodist Church at seven-thirty.

The guest preacher for this service is the Rev. O. E. Crain, superintendent of the New England Southern Conference of the Methodist Church in the Norwich District. The Rev. Crain, who is located in Norwich, is well known in Putnam, having been a guest speaker here several times in the past few years.

The Rev. Mr. Crain will speak on the subject, "The Irrevocable Writing." The Women's choir of the Church under the direction of Mrs. Clayton Shaw, will sing the anthem.

The minister of the church will lead in the service of worship.
