Keesler AFB, Miss., Pvt. Eugene B. Ray, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Ray, 121 Madison St., Roanoke Rapids, N. C. has reported to Keesler AFB, Mississippi to begin training in the Air Forces Radar School located here.
Keesler AFB is one of the Bases of the Technical Division, Air Training Command, and is also the home of the Airplane and Engine Mechanics School and the Air Chemical School. The training Pvt. Ray receives in the Radar School will extend over a period of 20 to 36 weeks, 16 of which will be an introduction to the fundamentals and principles of elementary electronics as applied to radar.
The second phase of his training will be either in the advanced Ground Equipment Course or the Air Borne Equipment Course.
