IN EVERY Post Office Box tomorrow will be found
a copy of the Community Survey Questionnaire
mailed out from the office of the Superintendent of
the Nome Public Schools to as many adults in the
community as possible.
It is not intended just for parents and should not
be set aside and forgotten because the box holder has
no children in school. Everyone will find some questions
he or she can answer as a taxpayer, as an individual as well as those questions only parents can
answer. It does not have to be signed and any comments on the operation of the school, other than the
questionnaire itself are welcomed.
If you are interested in where your tax money
goes, teacher's pay, Communism, civic conscious teachers, more use of the school buildings throughout the
year, kindergarten, music, athletics, curriculum, more
school construction, then this is your opportunity to
give your opinion on the operation which uses most
of our tax money.
If the questionnaire accomplishes nothing else, it
will show the individual a lot of things he doesn't
know and might like to know about. So do your share
and cooperate by filling in any part of it that you can.
