propriate films and registrations.

Meetings are tentatively scheduled
for four Sunday afternoons
and three Thursday evenings, but final
announcement of dates must await
news from the State Defense Council
Office in Hartford.

The school will be open to all
residents of the city and vicinity.
men and women, who wish to avail
themselves of the opportunity to
learn how best to be prepared for air
raids but will be designed specifical-
ly for all recently appointed air war-
dens who were not trained at the
regional school held in January in
Danielson.

Excepting wardens in the city's
industrial plants, only 38 residents of
Putnam passed the Danielson course
sponsored by the State Defense
Council. The new school will afford
an opportunity for all those who
were on duty in Thursday's blackout
to fulfill State requirements for air
raid wardens.

Wardens who complete the seven
two-hour sessions will receive State
certificates.
