COMMUNICATED.
Miss Susan A. Hagood, grand-daughter of Randolph Hagood, of Brunswick county, was most cruelly murdered on the 7th inst. while on her way home from H. Rawlings's School. She was found the morning after her murder the preceding evening on the spot she was killed. Her teeth were knocked down her throat—her skull mashed to atoms—her brains strewed upon the earth. The weapon, a large rock, her murderer used, was found by her side covered with gore. She tho but eleven years old, was remarkable for her condescension to her superiors, her duty to her relatives, and her intellectual abilities. This act of desperation demands the rigid and constant search of every individual, to detect her inhuman and barbarous murderer, who has as yet escaped the hands of justice.
