Starwich Endorses Hutcheson

As Logical Man For Sheriff

In a statement issued today in Seattle, Matt Starwich, Sheriff of King County said in part:

"I have given the best years of my life to service for King County and I want to take a rest. I am leaving the Sheriff's office for good. Before going away I want to tell the people about the loyalty of Archie Hutcheson, my Under-Sheriff.

"Archie has worked in the office for sixteen years and has been a most able assistant. He has been my aide in reducing the costs of operation in the Sheriff's office and always during the working hours of each day has been on the job at his desk, conscientiously protecting the interests of the taxpayers."

"I know that Archie Hutcheson is capable and honest. He is thoroughly familiar with every branch of the work and in my opinion is entitled to promotion."

"I feel that because of his ability he will make one of the best Sheriff's King County ever had."
