OAKESDALE, April 3.-Like the installments of a continued story is our experience with fire. The third alarm of fire within one week aroused our citizens at 2 a. m. Sunday. This time it was the Kaminsky building on Steptoe avenue. The entire building was wrapped in flame when the alarm was first given. As usual with an Oakesdale fire, not a thing was saved. The building was used as a warehouse by Scott Bros. & Co., hardware dealers. Stoves, hardware, pumps and building material burned. This fire is of incendiary origin beyond a doubt, as no fire is used in the building. Oakesdale is having troublous times, and all realize that something must be done without delay. If we have a fire maniac around we want to know it, for we are convinced that no property is safe under present conditions. There is strong talk of organizing a vigilance committee for protection. A typewritten notice was found on a post near the fire yesterday morning which reads: "Notice-In it that is no question we wont freeze to death know, since the old council has been redeemed. Hurrah, Hurrah."
The loss by this fire is unknown, but will probably reach $2500 on building and stock. It is not known whether there is any insurance.
