SPECULATION.
What magic this among the people,
That swells a maypole to a steeple?
Touch'd by the wand of speculation,
A frenzy runs thro' all the nation;
For soon or late, oh truth advises,
Things must assume their proper sizes--
And sure as death all mortals trips.
Thousands will rue their faith in Scrips.
