Full Text

From a Correspondent
It must give pleasure to those who have an interest in the health of the town, to notice the recommendation of the Selectmen to their fellow-citizens, that a general sweeping of their streets should take place on Wednesday morning next. They have really looked slovenly a long time. Neatness is very pleasing to the eye, and an agreeable trait in the character of every person or town; and cleanliness is certainly conducive to health.--It is hoped therefore, that there will be a very general compliance with the said recommendation, and that when the pleasure of walking in clean streets is once enjoyed, some regulations will be adopted and observed, to keep them so.
