Redwood Falls Township Group Hears Good Talks and Interesting Debate Next Meet at H. Winn Home.
The Redwood Falls Farmers Club was entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Love Friday evening, April 17.
The opening number on the program was a talk on seed corn, very ably given by L. J. Colberg, the local seed corn man. Another talk of interest was one by A. F. Dahlberg on gardening in its different phases.
An interesting feature of the program was the debate, "Resolved: That a farm raised couple will find a more desirable life work on the farm than in a city occupation."
The affirmative was taken by R. M. Campbell and Mrs. D. M. Tiffany and Robt. Stewart and Mrs. Walter Collins were their opponents on the negative side.
The judges, Mr. Dahlberg, Miss Jocelyn and Miss Westphal, returned a decision unanimously in favor of the affirmative.
A reading by Mrs. Norval Weeks which was much appreciated by the audience completed the program.
Lunch was served by Mrs. Whittet and Mrs. Wheaton and the remainder of the evening was spent socially.
The May meeting which is to be "Ladies Night", will be held at the Herbert Winn home. Mrs. Barnum and Mrs. Love will serve the refreshments and Mrs. Morley and Mrs. Jennings have charge of the program.
