Service of Their Own
New York, March 26.-(AP) -The moving fingers of 1,500 deaf mutes indicated the lofty Te Deum of the Catholic church ritual in a ceremony at the church of St. Francis Xavier yesterday. The services were part of the Lenten program.
At a signal from the priest the 1,500 afflicted worshippers rose and with moving fingers and silent lips followed the priest through intonation of the hymn.
The services were fully celebrated prayers were made choir iry and the benediction was to the audience which sat already as the ne tinee into heaven Americans- Gre Conapmterss fi8rural
